"If you are not traveling, You are not living…."Sharon June Ihle of Moffit, North Dakota passed away on the 2nd of August in the presence of her family.Services will be held on Thursday, August 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Word of Faith Church located at 1503 E. Divide Ave in Bismarck, North Dakota, with Pastor Cody Daner officiating.Cremation has taken place.Sharon was born in Grants Pass, OR, on February 20, 1944, and was the first child born to Leith and Gloria MacIver. Shortly thereafter the family moved to San Diego, CA, where she resided for 56 years. In 2000 she left the sunny beaches of San Diego for the frozen plains of North Dakota, and fell in love with the land. A creative, dynamic woman, Sharon turned her hand to a number of artistic endeavors until, at the age of 40, she found her calling and began a successful career as an author, penning 17 published novels, most of which are western historical romance and several having won awards. An avid animal lover, she played Mommy to everything from chickens, to horses, to cows, to pigs, and most importantly to dogs, always having a companion at her side. Along with her husband of 52 years, Larry, she had a passion for travel and together they visited 47 states and 47 countries in total.Sharon is survived by her mother, Gloria, sister Donna, beloved spouse Larry, and their four children, Lisa, Allen, Todd and Sandra, as well as four grandchildren, Stelios, Aleko, Ava and Hayley.
