Jeanne Weisgerber, 88, Bismarck, died July 14, 2016, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, July 20, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 519 Raymond St., Bismarck, with Msgr. Thomas Richter and Rev. Jordan Schmidt, O.P. officiating.
Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday, July 19, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a rosary/vigil service will begin at 7:00 pm.
Jeanne was born January 24, 1928, in Outlook, MT, the daughter of Nathaniel and Martha (Fitzgerald) McLean. The family moved to California in 1941 and Jeanne graduated from high school in 1946. She moved to Bismarck in 1948, and worked at Provident Life Insurance Co. Jeanne married John Weisgerber in 1950, and together they had five children. Jeanne enjoyed her time at home raising her family. She was a member of Cathedral Of The Holy Spirit for over 60 years, as her faith was very important to her. Jeanne was an excellent seamstress and loved to read.
She is survived by her children, Jerry, Bismarck, Brenda (Jim) Rotunno, Madison, WI, Susan (Randy) Schmidt, Bismarck, and Joseph, Phoenix, AZ; her grandchildren, Nicole (Schmidt) and T.J. Westphal, Littleton, CO, Brian (Laura) Schmidt, Nowthen, MN, Fr. Jordan Schmidt, Washington, DC., Robert Schmidt, St. Anthony, MN, Jeana (Rotunno) Scharpf, WI, Anthony Rotunno, WI; five great-grandchildren; her siblings, Leonard McLean, Sr. Bridget McLean, Bobby McLean, Aggie Hamman, Theresa McGrath, and Vivian Messbarger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her son, Gregory; and her siblings, John McLean, Maureen Newcomer, Katherine Stanton, Jude Campbell, and Jerry McLean.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Diocese of Bismarck for the seminarians at 520 N Washington St, Bismarck, ND, 58501.
