Lenora Dohrmann passed away at Sanford Health, Bismarck, on September 4, 2015, at the age of 98. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, September 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck.There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.Lenora Elizabeth Dohrmann was born to William and Wilhelmina (Gerhardt) Dohrmann at the family homestead NW of Taylor on November 12, 1916. Her arrival was a very special event because she was joined by a twin sister, Leona, who became her lifelong companion. Lenora's grade school days were spent in a one-room country school close to their farm. In the summer of '36 she enrolled in Capital Commercial College in Bismarck, working for board and room. Following college she worked at various businesses, having a career of 45 years with Super Value. She and her sister traveled extensively worldwide, usually getting in one or two trips a year. They were as unique as the trips themselves, since they always dressed alike and fellow travelers enjoyed their time together. Lenora's church family was an important part of her life, being involved in quilting groups, ladies circle, greeting card chairperson, and serving in leadership roles whenever asked. She was always willing to help whenever needed.Lenora's family held a special place in her life, hosting birthday parties, holidays, and any other occasion that called for a get-together. Anyone that came to the house was usually sent home with a plate of goodies or garden produce. Hospitality was high on her list.Lenora is survived by her twin sister, Leona, Bismarck; nieces and nephews, William (Jeanette), Taylor, Lyle, Rapid City, SD; Darlene Wolf, Bismarck; Randy (Susan) Milton, Freewater, OR; Terry (Diane), Glendive, MT; Nadine (Steve) Hilliard, Glendive, MT; Eloise Dohrmann, Dickinson; and JayDee (Dawn), Renton, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews consisting of five generations.She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Kenneth (Laura), Wilmer (Ann), Raymond; infant sister and brother, Louisa and Delton; and nephew-in-law, Ray Wolf.
