Naomi "Omy" Brew, 87, passed away August 30, 2015, at the Baptist Health Care Center, Bismarck. Services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, September 5, at Bismarck Community Church, 1617 Michigan Ave, Bismarck, with Elder Dennis Sailer officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Friday, September 4, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm.Omy was born July 30, 1928, to Martin and Agnes Weber in Killdeer, ND. She attended elementary school in rural Dunn County and graduated from Model High School in Dickinson, ND. She attended Dickinson College and taught school during her college years. In 1948, she married Warren Brew and moved to Washington where Warren attended diesel mechanic school. They moved back to Manning, ND, where they taught school and farmed the land they owned. In 1956, they moved to Bismarck where Omy worked as an Avon representative for over 15 years. In 1976 they moved to Hill City, SD, where they lived for ten years before returning back to Bismarck. Omy and Warren were very active in their church. In her later years, Omy was a founder and leader with the Caring Sunday Singles group in Bismarck.Omy is survived by her sons, Dan, Vern (Valerie), Lon (Julie), and Kurt (Lois); as well as 12 grandchildren, Stephanie (John) Blegen, Nadine (Devon) Brew, Tammy (Dave) Martens, Jason (Brittani) Brew, Nathan (Ploy) Brew, Nick (Marissa) Brew, Travis Brew, Spencer Brew, Delanie Brew, Nicole Brew, Josh Brew, and Jenna (Jake) Hein, and nine great-grandchildren. Omy was a sweet and loving woman who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.Omy was preceded in death by her husband Warren; and her seven siblings.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Caring Sunday Singles, 610 N 7th St. #7, Bismarck, ND, 58501.The service will be streamed at www.bismarckcc.org/watch
