Phyllis G. Krecklau, 76, Bismarck, died October 25, 2015, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck. Phyllis chose to have her body donated to the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. A memorial service will be held at a later date when she will be buried alongside her husband at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday November 17, 2017, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery; where she will be buried along with her husband, Gilbert, at 1:00 pm.Phyllis Geraldine Krecklau was born October 19, 1939, at the Richardton Hospital, the daughter of John R. and Katherine (Magelky) Jurgens. She was raised on the family farm north of Taylor, ND, and graduated from Taylor High School in 1957. Phyllis went on to graduate from the Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing in 1960 and received her registered nurse license the same year. Phyllis married Gilbert George Krecklau in 1960. Phyllis dedicated most of her life to being a nurse, mother, and housewife. She enjoyed reading, music, singing, canvas quilting, and visiting with friends. She is survived by her son, Curtis and his wife Lynell; her three grandsons, Taylor, Andrew and Aaron; her three brothers, Bruce Jurgens and his wife Kathy, Lester Jurgens, and Richard Jurgens and his wife Marcia; and one brother-in-law, Virgil Krecklau. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one baby sister.
