James “Jim” Thomas Kuhn, 73, met his holy creator on November 21, 2015, after a long battle with Lupus.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, November 25, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Darrel Aleson officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 pm at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Jim was born May 17, 1942, the son of Frank and Monica Kuhn in Dickinson, ND. In 1955, the family moved to Woodworth, ND, where Jim attended school, graduating in 1956. In 1964 Jim joined the Army National Guard and received his training at Ft. Knox, KY. In 1963, he met the love of his life, Linda Pieske and they married in 1965, they had two children, a daughter, Tami and a son, Scott. Jim was the maintenance foreman for Bismarck Parks and Recreation. He retired in 2004 after 25 years of dedicated service.
Jim was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, friend and mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, restoring cars, storytelling, making birdhouses, and he always had a comeback for everything.
Jim is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Tami Froelich; son, Scott (Sheila) Kuhn; three grandchildren, Casey (Shane) Neuerburg, TJ Kuhn, and Chase Froelich; two great-grandchildren, Brendan and Adley Neuerburg.
