James Lindseth, 67, Bismarck, died December 20, 2015, at Sanford Health, Bismarck after battling a long, courageous 15-year battle with cancer. Services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday, December 28, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, with Deacon Jerry Martin officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm Sunday, December 27, at Parkway Funeral
Service, Bismarck, and a prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm.
James C. Lindseth was born April 25, 1948, in Crosby, ND, the son of Jens and Clara (Henning)
Lindseth. He grew up and attended school in Crosby and graduated in 1966. James attended Wahpeton North Dakota State School of Science. On August 2, 1969, he married Linda Bobby Aherin from LaMoure, ND.
Jim worked for the State Water Commission for 24 years before retiring in June 2014. James was an Eagle Scout and was very involved with the Boy Scout Troop 11, where he was an assistant scout master, chartered organization representative, and the council commissioner. James was an avid woodcarver with the Flickertail Wood Carvers Club for over 20 years and was proud of having carvings on display in Medora.
James is survived by his wife, Bobby, Bismarck; mother, Clara, Williston; two children, Jodi
Lindseth, Amarillo, TX, and Robert (Misty) Lindseth, Amarillo TX; three grandchildren, Jazmin,
Jacey, and Phoenix; one brother, Ted, Williston; two sisters, Cheryl (Jerry) Martin, Williston, and Cyndi (Kevin) Johnson, Chandler, AZ; and many nieces and nephews and family friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jens; his brother, Thomas and grandparents.
