Hugh Paul Robinson of Bismarck, ND, passed away at home, Tuesday, December 22, after a long battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 26, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Darrel Aleson officiating.
Family will greet visitors starting at 1:00 pm Saturday at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck.
Hugh was born on March 27, 1952, to John Paul and Helen Martin Robinson in Garrison, ND. Hugh grew up in Garrison, graduating from Garrison High School. He then went on to graduate from UND with a political science major. He was proud to be a member of the Golden Feather Club and Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
After graduating, he lived in Colorado and California for 20 years managing companies in the food industry. In the late 90s, he returned to Garrison to care for his parents. He worked as a stock broker for Investment Centers of America until his retirement in 2006.
In 2001, he married Alice Edgerly, and acquired a ready-made family of two teenage daughters, Tania and Amanda. Hugh loved to hunt, golf, travel, and was a “lifelong fan” of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team!
Hugh is survived by his wife, Alice Edgerly Robinson, Bismarck; his daughter, Amanda Udodovsky Aanerud and husband Mathew, St. Louis Park, MN; sister-in-law, Marilyn Robinson, Winnipeg, Manitoba; niece, Tracey Robinson Machen and her husband, Jordan, Oak Bluff, Manitoba; one stepson, Erick Aanerud, Glenwood, IA; and numerous cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and John Robinson; his brother, John Robinson; and daughter, Tania Aanerud.
