Dorothy Jane Streyle, 60, Mandan, died peacefully in her home of natural causes on January 19, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 23, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Joel Samuelson officiating.
Dorothy was born February 8, 1955, in Horton, KS, the fifth child of George and Yvonne Adams. She graduated from Bismarck High School, Bismarck Junior College, and the University of North Dakota. She worked for Acme Electric in Grand Forks and at the Bismarck Parks and Recreation, where she retired from in 2013. Dorothy married Dean Robert Streyle on June 15, 1985. Their twin daughters, Erin and Kaitlin, were born December 12, 1985, and their daughter, Alison, was born August 28, 1987.
Dorothy was a loving mother and wife, who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, socializing with her friends, baking and cooking, campfires, the lake, thunderstorms, collecting recipes, gardening, and decorating for the holidays.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Dean, Mandan; her daughters: Erin Yvonne Streyle (Luis Tosina) and their son, Luis (1 yr); Kaitlin Ann Streyle (Robert Bilitz); and Alison Mae (Tyler) Zima, and baby due in March. She is also survived by her siblings, Bruce (Jan) Adams, Steve (Tammy) Adams, Barb (Lawrence) Lesmeister, Peg Adams, Therese Young, Paul Adams, and Mary (Roger) Wilcox; and 13 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Yvonne Adams.
