Margaret Witucki, 91, died December 22, 2015, in Vista, CA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, January 29, at Church of Corpus Christi, 1919 N 2nd St, Bismarck, with Rev. Terry Wipf officiating. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, January 28, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck.
Margaret was born July 28, 1924 to Edna (Wachel) and Philip R. Webb in Bismarck. Following her graduation from St. Mary’s School in1942, she attended Mount Mary College, Milwaukee, WI, and the University of Portland School of Nursing. She was a member of the Cadet Nursing Core at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Portland, OR.
On September 3, 1946, Margaret was married to Robert Martin Witucki at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck. They eventually settled in Santa Barbara, CA. For many years, Margaret worked at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School as a secretary, bookkeeper, and office manager. After she retired, she moved to Spokane, WA, to be near family. Later, she returned to Bismarck to care for her mother. In Bismarck, Margaret worked as office manager for Dr. Albert H. Fortman and volunteered at St. Alexis Hospital. Margaret was a member of Corpus Christi Church where she was part of the choir.
Margaret is survived by five children, Philip (Mary), San Marcos, CA, Mary (Herman) Bernards, Spokane, WA, Anne (Ron) Tee, Hillsboro, OR, Jane, Los Angeles, CA, Barbara, Clayville, NY; nine grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren; and two brothers, Dr. Francis O. Webb, Bellevue, WA and James M. Webb, West Melbourne, FL.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; three children who died in infancy, Catherine, James, and Joseph; and brothers, John Norman, William P., and Philip R. Webb.
