Paul Sabot

Paul Sabot, 93, Mandan, died January 26, 2016, at Sanford Continuing Care Center off Collins, Mandan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, January 30, at St. Edwin’s Catholic Church, 906 Northgate Rd, Washburn, with Rev. Patrick Cunningham officiating. Burial will be held at Riverview Cemetery, Washburn. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday, January 29, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a vigil/rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Paul was born November 13, 1922, in Burleigh County, to Emil and Frances (Gable) Sabot. He was raised on a farm northeast of Bismarck. Paul married Patricia Morris on November 25, 1952, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bismarck. They moved to Paul’s farm in Rockhill Township in 1953. They lived there for 40 years and raised their family there. In 1993, they moved to Washburn, ND. Paul enjoyed family, hunting, fishing, gardening, and the outdoors. Paul is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia; his sons, David (Lana), and Monte (Melissa), Bismarck; his daughters, Paula (Frank, friend), Paul, Grand Junction, CO, and Trudi (Jim) Beaver, Cottage Grove, MN; his eight grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa) Beaver, Brandon (Jen) Beaver, Andrea Beaver, Brittany (Josh) Schmidt, Jaden Sabot, Wanda (Patrick) Ethen, Kimberly (A.J.) Ehrmantraut, and Patrick Hofstad (Jill, friend); his great-grandchildren, Alyssa, MaKenna and Mason Beaver, Ryker Schmidt, Austin and Zachary Ehrmantraut, Brianna and Alex Ethan, Ashlee Torpy, Netanya Walker, Carlee Komes, and Wesley Brown; his great-great grandchildren, Ziah Torpy and Brinlee Komes; and his sisters, Pat (Ed) Backer, Mandan, and LaVerne, Seattle, WA. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Russell, Virgil, Darrell and Donald; and sisters, Gladys Fox, Beva Jean Hoffman and Doris Mowder.
