Alice Jane Kaseman, 76, Bismarck, died peacefully on January 26, 2016. For twenty years she battled cancer.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Good Shephard Lutheran Church in Bismarck, ND, with Rev. Craig Schweitzer officiating.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
Alice was born on May 21, 1939, to John and Leah Wanner. At age 7, after taking care of her critically ill infant sister, she knew she wanted to be a nurse. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked in her chosen profession for over four decades. She so loved being a nurse.
On December 29, 1961, she married her true love and best friend, Edward C. Kaseman. They have two children, Jonathon and Sheila.
She loved being with people, delighted in cooking and conversation, loved flowers, gardening, and sunshine. At one time she had 44 rose bushes in her garden of angels and flowers. She had an unrelenting faith in the Lord, and found great pleasure in daily devotion and Sunday worship. Another passion was painting flowers on glassware and water color portraits. She and Ed spent their last eight winters enjoying the beach in South Padre Island, Texas.
Alice is survived by her husband, children and spouses, and her two granddaughters, Isabella and Sophie; who she loved dearly.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Reynolds, the Oncology team and OR staff who cared for and worked with Alice for decades.
Memorials may be given to University of Mary College School of Nursing or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
