Alma Specht, 83, Bismarck, passed away on February 15, 2016 at CHI St. Alexius Health.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 19, 2016, at Our Savior’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with Pastor Jordan Ertl officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, February 18, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Alma was born on May 17, 1932, in Hebron, ND, to Henry and Bertha (Trautman) Staiger. Alma graduated from Hebron High School and moved to Bismarck, where she worked at Provident Life for many years. On June 20, 1956 she married Ervin Specht where they started their life together and raised three children. Alma enjoyed spending time with her late husband and family; especially the visits from her great-grandchildren.
Alma is survived by her son, Carey (Nita) Specht, Bismarck; her daughters, Becky (Patrick) Wingenbach, Bismarck, and Shelley (Marty) Gaab, Sartell, MN; her grandchildren, Heather Specht (Lee Han), Portland, OR, Kyle Specht (Jami Moffett), Grand Forks, ND, Lyndsey (Derek) Glinz, Bismarck, Nathan Wingenbach, Mandan, Samantha Gaab, Grand Forks, ND, and Derek Gaab, Manchester, NH; two great-granchildren, Brody and Fynley Glinz, Bismarck; her sister, Violet Staiger, Hebron; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin; her parents; her sisters, Ella and Irene; and her brother Arnold.
