Gloria was born on September 20, 1938, in Mandan, ND, to Michael and Helen (Day Brigl) Boehm. She attended Mandan schools. She married the love of her life, Lonnie Chadwick, on June 15, 1957. Gloria stayed home to raise her children until they went to school and then went to work for J.C. Penney for 25 years.
Gloria enjoyed many years of fishing and camping with family and friends, holiday baking, crocheting, and gardening. Her many beautiful flower beds looked as though they could have been on the cover of a gardening magazine. She was a walking flower and plant encyclopedia and her daughters and granddaughters all hoped to inherit that amazing green thumb. Every Saturday she looked forward to going out for coffee with family at the Boneshaker and doing some shopping afterward. Gloria very much enjoyed the time spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was very proud to have a great-granddaughter born on her birthday. Her words were "I had to wait 75 years for this very special occasion".
Gloria is survived by her three children, Sherry (Kevin) Kleingartner of Bismarck, Lonnie Jr. (AKA Butch) Chadwick of Bismarck, and Shelly Chadwick of Mandan; one sister, Gladys (James) Stamaris; and two brothers, Paul (Bev) Boehm of Bismarck and Greg (Alice) Boehm, El Cajon, CA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Chad Kleingartner (Kristal Grinolds, special friend), Cami (Derrick) Chewakin, Calle (Tim) Mork, Michelle Wald, Michael (Brandy) Johnson, Nicole Herr, Brandon Kostelecky, Gavin Chadwick, and Jesse (Kristen) Feist; thirteen great-grandchildren, Jaylah and Crew Chewakin, Van and Jett Wald, Blaize and Laila Chadwick, Grace Lundgren, Emly Korner, Tucker and Skyllar Feist, Dominick Isaak and Kairi Johnson, and Evangeline Brennese; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved toy poodle, Champ.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Lonnie; her parents; an infant brother, James; two sisters, Violet Stamaris and Lucille Boehm; one grandson, Jason Feist; and one grandson-in-law, Jason Wald.
