The Son of Herbert and Janice (Johnson) Becker, Dale was born on Feb. 9, 1977, in Bismarck. Dale went on to earn his GED and continued his career in small engine repair with Precision Small Engine Repair. He learned about cars from his dad, as they both were passionate about their cars. Dale was known as Big D by friends and family, not only of his big stature, but also for his generous heart and attitude.
Dale’s passion was racing, both stock cars and streetcars. If you wanted to know where he on the weekends, all you had to was racetrack every Friday. As a child and throughout his adult life, he lived life to the fullest – it was all or nothing. There were many times when he would light em’ up going up 12th street with his car or truck, and mom would pray that the cops wouldn’t catch him. Dale also was passionate about hunting. He and Jake, his dog, would go bird hunting in the fall, and he would deer hunt as well. He enjoyed this time more than anything, other than racing.
Dale is survived by his fiancée Trina Schaaf, Bismarck; his mother, Janice Becker, Bismarck; daughters, Sierra, Abby, and Madisen Becker, Bismarck; brothers, David Becker and his wife, Yvonne, and Bruce Becker, all of Bismarck; sisters, Valerie Thomsen and her husband, Ken, Baldwin and Vanessa Bosch, and her husband, Roger, Beulah; and several nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Herbert.
