She grew up in Riverdale, ND, and graduated high school in 1958. She was a proud graduate of St. Alexius School of Nursing in 1961. She continued working at St. Alexius with 43 years of dedication working in the emergency room.
She married Raphael Jerome “Ray J” Szarkowski on February 8, 1964, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fried, ND. Of this union they were blessed with two children, Karyn and Shannon.
Along with being a hard-working nurse, and a special Mom, Lynn enjoyed gardening and the beauty of the flowers. She assisted Ray in their lawn service business and enjoyed being part of her children’s activities. Lynn had a very artistic flare and enjoyed painting. She was a lover of cats and enjoyed “Big Boy” in her last few years.
Lynn was a very special lady with a heart of gold, a hearty laugh, and many friendships.
Lynn is survived by her son, Shannon and members of the Szarkowski family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her daughter, Karyn; and her parents.
“Enjoy your new life, Lynn, for you so deserve it.”
