Our beautiful mother, Sally Myers, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016, after a long, eight year battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 31, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Scott Bauman officiating.
Sally has been cremated and there will be a gathering of family and friends at Parkway Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 30, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Sally was born on October 15, 1938, to Marion (Strutz) and Thomas Crouse in International Falls, MN. She spent her early years in Waukesha, WI, and moved to North Dakota after graduating from Waukesha High School. She met Larry Myers while attending the University of North Dakota and together they raised seven children in Bismarck. Along with being a busy mother, she was an avid golfer, bowler, and trap shooter. She was the North Dakota State Ladies Singles Champion in trap shooting in 1970 and 1971.
Later in life, Sally received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Corpus Christi State University. Sally lived life to the fullest and leaves behind a legacy of “wonderful” children who share her sense of humor and zest for life. In her final weeks of life, Sally was surrounded by all of her children and grandchildren and was very much loved. Sally will always be remembered as being full of life and laughter; those who were in her presence were fortunate to have spent time with her. It is with bittersweet happiness that we can let this beautiful soul go home to be with God in Heaven, her ambrosia.
She is survived by her sister, Joan (Bill) Leifur. She is also survived by her seven children, Mark Myers, Scott (Luann) Myers, Mary (Mark) Eggers, Jane (Brad) Mann, Nancy (Gregorio) DiDonna, Kathy (Wade) Felton, and Susan (Brandon) Dodd. She has 18 beautiful grandchildren, Crystie Myers, Brandy Myers, Molly Myers, Hannah Eggers, Alex Eggers, Kristin Eggers, Scott Mann, Sidney Mann, Cataldo DiDonna, Sarah DiDonna, Matteo DiDonna, Joey Felton, Marisa Felton, Nicolas Felton, Autumn Dodd, Carter Dodd, Zachary Dodd, and Megan Dodd. She also has 2 great-grandchildren.
Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Thomas Crouse.
