Art Mueller, 74, Bismarck, passed away on the evening of May 5, 2016, after a short but vigilant battle of cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am, Tuesday, May 10, at Church of the Ascension, 1825 S. 3rd St, Bismarck, with Rev. Ed Wehner and Rev. Marvin Klemmer officiating.
Visitation will be held at 5pm -7:00 pm Monday, May 9, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a prayer service will begin at 7pm.
Burial will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 10, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Art was born January 15, 1942, in Napoleon, to Arthur and Francis (Roehrich) Mueller. He serviced in the Army from 1959-1962. Actively serving in France for 2 ½ years.
He married the love of his life, Pauline Heisler, on May 4, 1963. They were blessed with three children-Dean, Michelle & Susan. He was employed as a master mechanic at Corwin Churchill Motors and succeeded at his lifelong goal to retire at the age of 55.
In his earlier years he enjoyed building race cars. One of his proudest accomplishments in racing was his time spent with the Bob Bender race team where they won several season championships at multiple tracks across North Dakota. He was a very avid hunter and had a passion for fishing-both loves he shared with his family and friends. He always enjoyed gardening. In his later years he became a master gardener. He took great pride in having a 100% organic garden for the past 20 years. He was a ready helping hand to his neighbors and friends. He was proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them all.
Art is survived by his wife, Pauline; his children, Dean (Anne) Mueller, Michelle (Bret) Brennise, Susan (Greg) Robinson; his grandchildren, Martin and Morgan Mueller, Breshelle and Christopher Brennise, Desirae (Kelsey) Allan and Ashton Robinson; his sisters, Helen (Paul) Senger, Bernie (Don) Johnson, Rosina (Jim) Raisler, Margie Larson, Dee Hodny, Judy (Larry)Trefz; his brother, Henry Mueller; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a 9-yr old brother, Johnny; his parents; his mother-in-law, Eva Heisler and father-in-law, George Heisler; his twin grandsons, Nicholas and Edward Brennise; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Hodny and Mike Volk.
