Andy was born on June16, 1961, in Hillsborro, North Dakota, the son of Billy and Teddy (Slette) Klemetson. The family moved to Bismarck in 1968. He attended school at Century High School. Andy moved to his farm near Baldwin in 1981 where he raised his three daughters. In the early years, he farmed land and raised pigs.
He enjoyed anything in the outdoors, especially trees and making his surroundings beautiful. After farming, he found a passion for upholstery. He went to Minnesota to learn the trade. He then used this in restoring old vehicles. In 2002 he met Leann (Doll) Klemetson. They were joined in marriage on August 20, 2005. They shared a love for the outdoors and spending time together. For the past several years, Andy had found joy in driving his semi.
Andy would have done anything for family, friends, or even a stranger. His humor and laughter filled people with joy. Andy liked to “take a 5” to appreciate the moment.
Andy was survived by his wife and best friend, Leann; his daughter, Brandy (Mike) Herner and grandchildren, Dylan, Brooklyn, and Dawson Herner; his daughters, Casey (Eric) Bentz, and Kayla (Kellin) Schmidt; his parents, Billy and Teddy Klemetson; his brother, Paul (Evie), all of Bismarck; and his sister, Peggy Schatz of Waterloo, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lynn Klemetson; and his grandparents, Mabel and Leonard Slette and Tellef and Ingaborg Klemetson.
