Kenneth E. Dykes, Sr, age 69, a native of Port St. Joe, Florida, and executive director of Bismarck Cancer Center since 2007, died June 8, 2016, in Bismarck after an adventurous, fulfilling life and a long, courageous battle with multiple cancers. He is greatly missed by all who loved him, including family members, friends, co-workers and members of the community. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, June 12, at St. George Episcopal Church, 601 North 4th St., Bismarck. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Deb Dykes (Florida); his children and children by marriage, Stan Dykes (Florida), Ken Dykes, II (Colorado), Irene and Paul Latham (Alabama), Lynn and Jeff Baker (Tennessee), MicaJon and Jennifer Dykes (Tennessee), Heather Petermann (Florida), Gary Gliem (Florida), and Marisa Gliem (Florida); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Newton Emon and Maggie Evelyn Dykes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation, 500 North 8th St., Bismarck, ND 58501.
