Marjorie Magnuson, 81, Bismarck, died June 16, 2016, at Sanford Health, Bismarck.
Services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, June 22, at Grace Point Church, Bismarck. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 21, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Marjorie Jane Falkenstein was born January 3, 1935, in Bismarck, the daughter of Clarence and Alta (Thompson) Falkenstein. She was raised and educated in Wilton, graduated from Bismarck High School in 1952, and attended the St. Paul Bible Institute. She married Glenn “Mike” Magnuson on August 30, 1957, and together they had two daughters, Jolene and Carol.
Marjorie worked for the Bismarck Public School District for many years in various aspects from elementary school secretary to media assistant at Century High School where she retired from in 1996.
Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, as she was the best daycare provider! She loved to travel and never missed a family wedding, funeral, or reunion. She was a charter member of Mission Evangelical Free Church and a lifelong member of First Evangelical Free Church (now Gracepoint).
Marjorie is survived by her two daughters, Jolene and Carol (Steve Laframboise); two grandchildren, Connor Dymerski (Maddi Guenther) and Cady Dymerski (Koltan Kautzman), two step-grandchildren, Megan Laframboise (Ben Heaton), and Tyler Laframboise; two brothers, Les (Phyllis) Falkenstein Clifton (Anne) Falkenstein; sisters-in-law, Ada Johns, Mabel White, and Connie Doll; and several nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Mike on August 5, 2003; her parents; and two nephews.
