Lucy A. Fischer, 88, Bismarck, died June 16, 2016, peacefully at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, June 20, 2016, at Church of Corpus Christi, 1919 N 2nd St., Bismarck, with Rev. Paul Becker officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Sunday, June 19, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a rosary/vigil will begin at 7:00 pm.
Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.
Lucy was born on December 13, 1927, in Hague, ND, the daughter of Ferdinand and Anna (Holzer) Goldade. She was raised and attended schools in Hague. She married Adam Z. Fischer on November 5, 1952, at St. Aloysius Church in Hague. They farmed together for 15 years before moving to Bismarck in May 1968.
She enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening, playing bingo, and going to the casino.
Lucy is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Alan and Alice Fischer, Bismarck, Gerard Fischer, Great Falls, MT, and Leroy Fischer and Toni Nicolson, Grand Forks, ND; two daughters and son-in-law, Marlene and Bruce Fetting and Deb Fischer and Jeff Holzworth, all of Bismarck; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; all six siblings; and one great-grandson, Brayden McClean.
