Janeane Ann Hessinger, 63, Bismarck, passed away on July 4, 2016, surrounded by her four children, after a three year battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Friday, July 8, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 519 Raymond St., Bismarck, with Rev. Msgr. Thomas Richter officiating.
Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.
A vigil service will begin at 7:00 pm Thursday, July 7, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Cremation has taken place.
Janeane Klein was born in Bismarck, ND, on June 18, 1953. She graduated from the University of North Dakota with her degree in education and married Kevin Hessinger on August 21, 1976. Janeane taught for over 30 years, most of which at the kindergarten level at Roosevelt in Mandan. She was a teacher in and out of the classroom, and was at her happiest when guiding and leading her students. Even after retiring, Janeane continued with her love of helping children at Sylvan Learning Center.
Janeane was an excellent teacher, an avid Sioux fan, a natural green thumb, a loyal friend, and a loving mother, sister, and daughter. She was her children’s biggest supporter and rarely missed a sporting event or concert.
Janeane is survived by her parents, Tony and Cecilia Klein; her children, Abby (Nate) Sannes, Eric (Ashley) Hessinger, Bekah Hessinger, and Annie Hessinger; her grandchildren, Emma and Riley Sannes, and Keaton Hessinger; her sisters, Mary Klein, Bev (Tim) Skoropat, and Barb (Roy) Mazigian; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
