Terry J. Roy, 61, Bismarck, passed away June 6, 2016, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, July 15, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Joel Samuelson officiating. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Terry James Roy was born December 11, 1954, in Langdon, ND, the youngest son of Daniel and Veronica (Hell) Roy. He grew up in Langdon and graduated from Langdon High School in 1972. He attended Lake Region Junior College in Devils Lake. Terry married Stephanie Hoel on June 21, 1980, and moved to Bismarck. Together they had two children, Jason in 1985 and Jennifer in 1989. They divorced in 2005. Terry worked many years in the life insurance industry. He owned and operated TJ Signs. Terry loved hunting, football, Nascar, and muscle cars. Terry is survived by his children, Jason Roy and Jennifer Roy, both of Bismarck; his brother, Dale (Jan) Roy, Superior, CO, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad; his mom, his sister, Sharon; and his brothers, Glenn and Ron. A benefit for the family will be held at 5:00 pm Friday, July 15, at the Eagles Club, 313 N 26th St., Bismarck.
