Dale was born in Mandan, ND, on September 26, 1952, to Clyde “Tim” and Helen (Geloff) Whitmore of Tuttle, ND. In his earlier years, Dale was raised on a farm south of Tuttle and later his family moved to Tuttle. He graduated from Tuttle High School in 1970 and then went on to attend college at Wahpeton State School of Science, majoring in auto mechanics.
In 1974, Dale and Agnes Feist of Linton, ND, were married. From this union Jeremy Dale Whitmore was born on July 14, 1979. Dale always held his family as the center of his life. During Dale’s life, he and his family had lived in Bismarck, Carrington, and Steele. Dale was employed as a farmhand, in security, in construction, and at grain elevators.
Due to health reasons in the early 1990s, Dale entered Golden Manor in Steele and then Sanford off Collins Care Center. Dale’s family greatly appreciates the care he received from the staff as he resided at both of the care centers.
Dale’s many interests included his love of motorcycles and cars. He always enjoyed attending the races in Bismarck and Brainerd, MN. He also enjoyed heated games of pinochle and listening to great classic rock music with his friends and family. Dale’s laid-back, easy-going personality always included a quick smile and laughter.
Dale is survived by one son, Jeremy Whitmore; one brother, Bruce (Paulette) Whitmore of Bismarck; two nieces, Jenessa and Kira Whitmore of Bismarck; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde “Tim” and Helen Whitmore.
