Corry Taylor

March 5, 1971 — August 5, 2016

Corry Taylor, 45, Billings, MT, formerly of Mandan, ND, died August 5, 2016, in a motorcycle accident. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 18, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Pastor Morris Conklin officiating. Family will be greeting guests starting at 12:00 noon Thursday at Parkway Funeral Service. Corry was born March 5, 1971, to Michael Taylor and Sally Taylor in Bellingham, WA, and was raised in Montana. In 1993, Corry graduated from May Technical College in Billings with a degree in Radio Broadcasting. He worked at KFLN Radio in Baker, MT, in the mid-90s where he was called “Wren Michaels” by his colleagues, listeners, and friends. Later, Corry’s thirst for adventure led him to Glacier National Park where he worked as a server and cook in St. Mary and Babb. Corry fell in love with the mountains, streams, and fishing while living in the park and met many friends that became his second family. In 2005 Corry moved to Mandan, ND, to be close to his family. Following in his father’s footsteps, Corry fulfilled his dream of becoming a railroader, working as a conductor and engineer beginning in 2011. He worked out of Mandan and Minot before transferring to Laurel, MT, in July of 2015. Corry’s sense of humor, quick wit, and positive attitude were noticed by all who knew him. He was a friend to many, with a genuine heart and compassionate soul. He was a self-taught guitarist, tech-geek, and Seattle Seahawks fan. Corry’s greatest loves were his family and the many friends he had made along his journey. He had a passion for music and attended concerts as often as he could. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, animals, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Corry will forever be missed by his father, Michael Taylor (Barbara Sobolik); his mother and step-father, Sally and John Wolf; sisters, Kaycee (Matt) Boehm and Kelley Taylor; nieces, Maddie, Avery, Stella, and Laenna, all of Mandan; step-brother, Monte Wolf; step-niece, Sammy Wolf, both of Bismarck; grandfather, Lawrence Taylor; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and numerous friends. Corry was preceded in death by a sister, Kristin Taylor; uncle, Kelly Taylor; aunt, Patricia Palm; uncle, Bill Potter; beloved dog, Sid; maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother.
