Marilyn J. Pahl, 84, Bismarck, died August 16, 2016, at Baptist Health Care Center.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.
Marilyn was born on May 29, 1932, in New Rockford, ND, the daughter of Melvin and Marion (Larson) Barr. She was raised and attended school in New Rockford and graduated from New Rockford High School. She then attended Valley City State College and graduated with a teaching degree. Marilyn taught school in Pierre, SD, for five years before moving to Jamestown, ND. She married Alvin Peplinski in 1955 in Jamestown.
Marilyn lived in various places in North Dakota including Dickinson, Richardton, and finally Bismarck. She volunteered with the Foster Grandparent Program in Bismarck for many years. Marilyn enjoyed watching old movies, crossword puzzles, and reading.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Karen Peplinski of Bismarck and Kathy Wilson of Richardton; and her sons, Kim of Bowman and Kevin of Dickinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and one brother.
