Doris Lautt, 86, formerly of Cathay and Steele, ND, died September 4, 2016, at Riverview Hospital, Crookston, MN.
The celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 9, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Jake DeBoer officiating.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck.
Burial will be at 2:00 pm Friday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Doris was born and grew up on the family farm north of Lehr, ND, the daughter of William W. and Martha (Dalke) Fiechtner and attended rural school. On August 29, 1948, she married Harold Lautt at the Lutheran Parsonage at Kulm, ND. After farming for six years the couple moved to Wells County, where they resided for the next 48 years.
In 2005 Harold and Doris moved to Steele, ND. After losing her husband of nearly 62 years, Doris continued to live in Steele until late 2014 when she moved to Crookston, MN, to be closer to family.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Harold, one brother, Ervin, and two sisters, Edna (Leonard) Olson and Arlys (Melvin) Martel.
Doris is survived by her son Lee (Tucker) Lautt and granddaughter Kaelin, Crookston, MN; her daughter, Linda (David) Drew, Sioux Falls, SD, and her two grandsons, Jim (Julie) Drew of Sioux Falls and Brian (Cara) of Sioux City, IA; as well as three great grandchildren, Kaylie, Caden and Kenzie; two sisters, Adeline (Roland) Essig of Bismarck, ND, and Darlene (Wesley) Diede of Portland, OR; brother, Melvin (Arbadella) Fiechtner of Lehr, ND; and numerous nephews and nieces.
