Terry Lee Whitmore was born on August 12, 1956, to George and Zona Whitmore in Enid, OK, and passed away on Sept 12, 2016, at his home in Bismarck surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 pm Wednesday, September 14, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 519 Raymond St., Bismarck, with Msgr. Thomas Richter officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 13, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a vigil/rosary service will begin at 6:00 pm.
Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.
Son of an airman, he lived in several places growing up and graduated from Hatton High School in 1974. Terry married the love of his life, Mary Sieracki, on Sept 10, 1977. The couple had two children, Mike and Ross. He was employed at Acme Electric in Grand Forks from 1978-1997. In 1997 the family moved to Bismarck where he continued to work for Acme Electric until 2016.
Terry was a member of The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, where he had also married his loving wife.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Whitmore, Bismarck; son, Mike (Jill) Whitmore and their two children, Khloe and Logan, Grand Forks; son, Ross (Kim) Whitmore, Bismarck; and mother-in-law, Rosemary Sieracki, Bismarck; brother, Clay (Terry) Whitmore, Grand Forks; sisters, Pam Lautt, Judi Whitmore, Sharon (Wayne) Stromsodt, all of Enid, OK, and Jeanine (Jim) Deterding, Pond Creek, OK; nieces, Amber Lautt, Kristin and Kayla Stromsodt, and CeNedra Whitmore, and nephew Christopher Lautt.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Zona Johnson and George Whitmore; father-in-law Sidney Sieracki; and brother-in-law Mark Lautt.
