Alfred Dockter

Alfred Dockter, 90, Bismarck, passed away on September 18, 2016, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, September 22, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, September 23, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1109 N 26th St., Bismarck, with Pastor Bill Edwards officiating. Visitation will start one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Alfred was born July 27, 1926, to Gottlieb and Lydia Dockter. He served in the Army from 1945 to 1947. Alfred married Pearlene Werner in 1947, and together they had six children. Alfred is survived by his wife, Pearlene, Bismarck; his children, Twila Dockter, NE, Randy (Debbie) Dockter, ND, Debbie Lauer, AZ, Daryl (Bonnie) Dockter, ND, Dean (Tammy) Dockter, NV, and DeLaine (Mike) Forth, MT; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; one brother; and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; one sister; and three grandchildren.
