Robert Gary Reese, 62, Bismarck, ND, passed away on September 21, 2016, at his home. A memorial services will be held Saturday, October 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Bob was born in Breckenridge, MN, to LaVan (Jim) Reese and Rosella Reese on June 13, 1954. Bob went to school at Breckenridge High School in 1972. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and served four years for his country. Following his discharge, he attended and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead. On October 1980, he began working as a revenue auditor for the North Dakota State tax department where he has worked for the last 36 years. Bob also love to spend his time playing backgammon on the computer or with the grandkids. He liked to go kayaking, out to eat, and talk on his phone with family and friends. He loved to tell jokes, even though sometimes people didn't get them. Bob will be greatly missed and was so loved while he was here! Our hearts are forever broken but continue to go on knowing we have an angel watching over us! Robert is survived by his step-daughter, Sheri (Bert) Harsche; his sisters, Avis Althoff and Connie Bright; his brother; David Reese; his grandkids, Tristan Smith, Ethan Harsche, Dillan Harsche; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to give special thanks to the Sanford Heart and Diabetes Doctors and Staff for the care given to Bob.
