Beck was born September 30, 1934, in Great Falls, MT, the son of Leonard and Margaret (Stevenson) Beck. He grew up on the family farm near Fairfield, MT, and attended schools in Fairfield. In high school, he enjoyed playing football and decided to try out for his college football team in Bozeman, MT, but quickly found out he was too small. Norm married Karen Johnson on October 27, 1972, in Minot, ND, and the couple moved to Bismarck in 1986. Norm enjoyed camping, fishing, playing pinochle, and in his later years, traveling around the United States. He especially loved singing and dancing with his grandchildren. Norm had a mischevious sense of humor that Karen sometimes did not find funny. Norm is survived by his wife, Karen, Bismarck; seven children, Steven Enabnit, CA, Ronald (Peggy) Enabnit, CA, Jeffrey Teubert, WI, Toby (Kristi) Bishop, MN, Tamby (Kerry) Ahner, MN, Dennis Beck, ND, and Melisa (Keith) Ryan, MN; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie (Roger) Hadley, MT, and Donna (Rodney) Pettis, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews.
