Ruth Lindblom, 98, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 3, at Good Samaritan Center in Bismarck.
Per Ruth’s wishes a private family service will be held at Eastgate Funeral Service, Friday, October 7, with internment open to friends and family at 1:00 p.m. at St. Olaf Church Cemetery, north of Turtle Lake. Cremation has taken place and no visitation will be held.
Ruth was born July 7, 1918, to Evan and Petra (Olson) Borg in Voltaire, ND. She was raised and educated in the Ruso, ND, area. On June 22, 1943, she was united in marriage to Lynn Lindblom in Glendive, MT. They farmed near Butte, ND until retiring in 1990. Ruth enjoyed the life of a farmwife and the coffee pot was always on for neighbors and friends.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Robert (special friend Sarah), Lisbon, and Russell (Coletta), Bismarck; two daughters, Arlinda (Gary) Knodel, Minot, and Julie (Rick) Bucholz, Bismarck; daughter-in-law, Marcy Lindblom, Bismarck; nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one step-great grandson, one great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn; her son, Marlow; son-in-law, Tom Young; five sisters and three brothers.
