Norma Barth, 70, Bismarck, went to be with her Jesus in Heaven on October 3, 2016, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck, after a battle with dementia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, October 8, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 519 Raymond St., Bismarck, with Rev. Jared Johnson officiating.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Friday, October 7, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm.
Norma was born on January 10, 1946, to Earl and Esther (Wessel) Tibke in Carson, ND, where she attended school. On December 3, 1965, she married Robert Barth. Soon after, they moved to Bismarck and began their family with three children. Robert and Norma began their own drywall business, Barth Drywall, in 1974 which they ran until their retirement in 2010. Norma was also a cook at Wachter Middle School, where she met many special friends.
Norma was a woman of great faith, hardworking, and dedicated to her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her delicious cooking and peach pies, for the beautiful garden and flowers she grew, her immaculate home, her help in everyone’s kitchen, her practical jokes, her love for fishing, and her loving care for her grandsons. Everything Norma did, she did well and with her heart. She touched many people’s lives of all ages.
Blessed to have shared her life is her husband, Robert Barth, Bismarck; her two children and their spouses, Ranita (Curt) Mann, Bismarck, and Lee (Shannon) Barth, Bismarck; two grandchildren, Scotty and Owen Barth; two sisters, Erla (Mark) Werner, Lark, and Doris Ann Tibke, Piedmont, SD; five brothers, Gary (Bev) Tibke, Loren Tibke, Leland Tibke, all of Bismarck, and Jim Tibke and Brian (Sandra) Tibke, both of Carson; many nieces, nephews, other family and very special family friends, Mike, Tiffany, Lexi and Luke Schiermeister.
Norma was preceded in death by her son, Scott Barth; her parents, Earl and Esther Tibke; three sisters, Lila Conrad, Patsy Haug, and Mary Ellen Tibke; and other family members.
