Elbie J. Matthiesen, 96, Bismarck, died October 14, 2016, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck. A private family service will be held. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Elbie is survived by her daughter, Judy (Brad) Charnholm; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores Murrey; and one brother, Jerry Murrey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herb, and her son, Robert; five sisters and four brothers..
