Dr. Gordon Stork, 55, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 14, 2016.
Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, October 22, at Century Baptist Church, 205 Colt Ave., Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Friday, October 21, at Century Baptist Church, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm.
He was born in Morris, MB, to Rudy and Violet Stork, spending his formative years in Winnipeg, where he was an accomplished student and athlete. He graduated from the University of Manitoba, and continued on to receive his Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Counseling, and Doctor of Ministry from the NAB Seminary. Gordon found his loving partner and supporter Diane Neumann, and was married to her on December 21, 1985. Gord and Diane were blessed with three children, who were a joy in his life. Gordon served his Lord, friend, and Savior as Lead Pastor in Austin, Sioux Falls, and Bismarck churches, and finally as Regional Minister (Northern Plains Region). Gordon loved and served the people of his community. We will miss his contagious laugh, his warm hugs, and kind gentle heart. He was the best husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, and friend that one could ask for.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Diane and their children, Chris (Sarah), Katie (Elliot) Carvell, and Jonathan (Taylor), parents Rudy and Violet, brother Norm (Lydia), grandson Jeron, and nieces and nephews.
