Diane was born on July 8, 1954, in Valley City, ND, and grew up on a farm and ranch west of Luverne, ND. She attended NDSU, graduating with a degree in Medical Technology. Diane spent her career working in the Microbiology Departments at St. Alexius Hospital and Northern Plains Laboratory. She really enjoyed teaching all the students who interned in the Micro department.
In 1980, Diane met and married Doug Stoltz. They were married in Luverne and made their home in Bismarck. Diane and Doug raised three beautiful and independent daughters; Courtney, of Bismarck, Rachel, of Longmont, CO. and Allison (Mrs. Nathan Levi) of Bismarck. Diane always loved to attend the girls’ events, especially their band and choir concerts, and the Demonette competitions. She also enjoyed biking, hiking, golfing, playing her grand piano, gardening and her lutefisk moments. Thank You to all of our Family and Friends for their support during her this 3 year fight. Diane’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of the Baptist Home for their loving care during Diane’s fight against the virus.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Jorgen and Patricia Pedersen; her auntie Karen (Karn) Arneson; and Doug’s parents, John and Loretta Stoltz.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Diane’s memory to the Make a Wish Foundation or the Gateway to Science Museum.
