Lonna Plante

Lonna Marie Plante, 38, Minneapolis, MN, formerly of Bismarck, died November 14, 2016, at North Memorial Hospital, Minneapolis, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 28, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Msgr. Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Lonna was born in Bismarck, ND, on May 27, 1978, to Ronnie and Mary Plante. She attended grade school in Dickinson, junior high and high school at St. Mary’s and Bismarck High School. Lonna was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings, enjoyed cooking, loved dogs and wolves. She made great monster cookies, and loved planning birthday parties. Lonna always enjoyed getting dressed up and celebrating Halloween. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and rap music. Lonna will always be remembered for her smile and her laugh. She was a good friend to many. Her family finds comfort knowing she is free and at peace. Lonna started painting with her father at the age of 14. She became an excellent woodwork finisher. She was very meticulous and a very good worker. She would later go on to start her own successful business as Painter Chick. Lonna is survived by her children, Coven Albrecht, Minneapolis, MN, and KeyRa and Alaina Charvat, Mandan; her father, Ronnie; her brother, Lee Ron (Angela) Plante; her niece, Marianne Plante; nephew, Jonathan Plante; her grandmothers, Donna Waltz, Langdon, ND, and Anna Plante, Bismarck; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Plante; and her grandfathers, Frances Waltz and Harvey Plante.
