Robert and Judy (McCormick) Hertz of Bismarck were blessed with the birth of a beautiful baby girl they named Heather Marie on October 1, 1984. Heather attended Dorothy Moses Elementary, Wachter Junior High, graduating from Bismarck High School in 2003. Heather worked several jobs in Bismarck and most recently worked at Pride while pursuing her RN degree with the Dakota Nursing Program. Heather received her Practical Nursing degree in July 2016.
On August 11, 2012, Heather married the love of her life, Jason Ryberg. Heather loved living on the farm and being a rancher’s wife. She named every orphan calf and had a favorite one named “Stinky” who loved to eat bread. She loved her cats, Cali and Snoop, and the dogs, Dixie, Snap and Katie. Heather enjoyed doing craft projects, camping, and going to concerts. Heather and Jason enjoyed traveling and made multiple trips to Cancun and Las Vegas.
Heather went on a mission trip to Guatemala with the Dakota Nursing Program. While in Guatemala, she helped build a house for a family. Heather and Jason continue to sponsor two children in Guatemala. Heather was always donating clothing to the God’s Child Program. It was always her goal to return to Guatemala someday to help build another house.
Heather brought love and laughter wherever she went. She loved her family dearly. By God’s love and grace, we had the privilege of having Heather in our lives for 32 short years.
Heather will be missed by each and every one of us. The pain in our hearts can only be eased by the precious memories of this beautiful young woman.
