Jonathan J Butschat

Jonathan James Butschat, 52, died November 21, 2016, in Bismarck. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, November 25, 2016, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Avenue, Bismarck. Jonathan was born July 9, 1964, to Ernest and Dee Butschat in Bismarck. After leaving Bismarck, he spent many happy years in Mesa, AZ, and Honolulu, HI. After marrying Angelika Coleman in 2005, he returned to Bismarck. Jonathan was an avid sports fan (“Go Patriots!”) having played football and basketball in high school. He had a great sense of humor which will be dearly missed. Family and friends meant everything to him, and nothing gave him greater joy than helping a friend or stranger. Jonathan is survived by his wife, Angie; his mother, Dee Butschat; his sisters, Rhonda and Robyn (Paul) Lawler; aunt and uncle, Ann and Barry Mayher; cousins, Kimberly, Court, Virg (Jocie), and Folly (Allen) and their families; and his beloved dog, Maya, a constant and very special companion. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest. Peace out!
