Adolph Anthony Feyereisen, Jr., 80, of Bismarck, ND, formerly of Braddock, ND, passed away on November 26, 2016, while surrounded by his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Katherine’s Catholic Church in Braddock with Rev. David Zimmer officiating. Burial will be at St. Katherine’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a vigil service will begin at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Adolph was born on a farm near Braddock, ND, on January 21, 1936. He attended Campbell Township Country School, from there he moved on to attend and graduate from the Assumption Abbey in Richardton, ND.
On November 16, 1963, he wed Lorraine Katherine Moch. Following their marriage they made their home on a farm nine miles northeast of Braddock. They farmed until semi-retiring in 2005. Adolph was a past-member of the Braddock School Board, the Braddock Lions Club, a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bismarck, and a member of the South Central Threshing Association. He enjoyed trips to Laughlin, NV, attending various ND Rural Electric Cooperative meetings, and was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan.
Adolph was a director for KEM Electric Cooperative for 20+ years. He served as president and vice-president of NDAREC (North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives) and in 2005 received the Cooperative Leadership Award for Exceptional Leadership and Unusual Devotion to Duty. He enjoyed working as a crop insurance adjustor for Rain and Hail Insurance Company, as well as other crop insurance companies.
Adolph enjoyed playing cards, and visiting and socializing with many friends from all over the area. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his children and many grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, JoyLynne (Duane Jahner) of Fargo, ND, Marla (Eric Siegert) of Bismarck, ND, Deanne (Richard Leier) of West Fargo, ND, and Adrian and Melisa Feyereisen of Spearfish, SD; ten grandchildren, Taylor and Allex Jahner, Bryce, Dylan, and Blake Rohrich, Kayla and Brandon Leier, and Kaidon, Abigayle, and Riley Feyereisen; one great-grandchild, Adalynn Tanhoff; two brothers, Paul (Grace) and Mike (Maxine) of Bismarck, ND; and four sisters, Ann Trom of Bismarck, ND, Rosemary Feyereisen of Albany, OR, Norine Feyereisen and Viola (Dennis) Schwind of Fargo, ND.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine, and his parents Adolph Sr. and Marie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Assumption Abbey in Richardton, ND.
