Andrew was born June 4, 1981, in Williston, ND, to Blaine and Shirley Oyen. He grew up as the big brother to Kristopher, and there are many great stories of the mischief they created in their neighborhood. In his younger years, family and friends were very important to Andrew, and he was often found spending time with them all. He graduated from Williston High School in 2000.
As he grew, family became the focal point of Andrew's life. He was blessed with his daughter, Isabella in 2004, and his son, Tristin (who is the spitting image of his dad) in 2006. On New Year’s day in 2011, he married the love of his life, Amber. He took great pride in raising his three stepsons, Austin, Braden, and Cameron, and his adorable daughter, Emelyn, was born in 2014.
Andrew proudly graduated from Minot State University in 2014 with a degree in Management, in Information Systems. He worked at NISC as a database program manager, and had a passion for his work. In his free time, Andrew loved to spend a day (or days!) fishing, and creating memories with the people he loved. He had a true and genuine love for life; and an even greater love for those he shared it with.
Andrew is survived by his wife Amber; two daughters, Isabella and Emelyn, four sons, Tristin, Austin, Braden, and Cameron; his father, Blaine (Cathy) Oyen; his mother, Shirley Oyen (Audie Arndt); his brother, Kristopher (Aimee) Oyen; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
