Leo Senger, 90, Bismarck, died January 25, 2017, with his family at his side, at the Baptist Health Care Center, Bismarck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 30, at Church of St. Mary, 806 East Broadway Ave., Bismarck, with Rev. Charles Heidt officiating.
A rosary will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, January 29, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.
Leo was born January 4, 1927, the son of Matt and Katherine (Nolz) Senger and was a lifetime member of Bismarck, ND. He attended St. Mary’s Grade and High School. Leo joined the Army and served in World War II. After receiving an honorable discharge on December 16, 1946, he attended South Dakota University, Brookings, SD, and was a pharmacist for many years. He first worked at Cowan Drug and later, he and Bill Cowan opened Central Pharmacy in the Medical Arts Building where he worked until retirement.
Leo was a very generous and kind man, always lending a hand to anyone who needed help. He enjoyed trips to Washington State, Las Vegas, and watching sports. He was a lifelong member of the VFW Club.
Leo is survived by and will be missed by his sister, Loretta Melarvie, Bismarck; his brother, Pius Senger, Bellevue, NE; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ann; and his brothers, Eugene, James, and Don.
