Arlene Joy Wolf

Arlene Joy Wolf, 80, Robinson, died February 17, 2017, at St. Gabriel’s Community in Bismarck. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church in Robinson with Rev. Trish DeBoer officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at the ND Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Eastgate Steele Chapel where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church Arlene was born on August 19, 1936, in Woodworth, ND, the youngest daughter of Stanley and Margaret (Dehne) Harrington. She grew up in Robinson and graduated from high school in 1954. She went on to obtain her teaching certificate from Valley City State College. She taught school for two years at the country school north of Pettibone. She met the love of her life, Clarence Wolf, when he was home on leave from the Army. They were married on March 24, 1956, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Robinson. Arlene was an active member of the Robinson community, serving on the Bethany Lutheran Church Board, Jubilee Committee, Ladies Aid, PTA, and was also a longtime officer of the Quinby Township Board. Arlene loved to read and had an incredible passion for sports. She enjoyed many summers at the lake camping and fishing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Arlene will always be remembered as a kind, considerate, compassionate and loving mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed laughter and having fun. Arlene leaves behind her loving husband of over 60 years, Clarence. Arlene will be deeply missed by her children, son Danny and his wife Marlene; son Kenneth; daughter Sandra Hanson and her husband Gary; son Jeffrey and wife Becki; seven grandchildren, Landyn (Tara) Wolf, Jordan (Kelsey) Wolf, Derrick (Kinda) Wolf, Taylor Hanson, Kaytlin Hanson, Connor Hanson, and Jackson Wolf; and eight great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Hayden and Tucker Wolf, Jensyn and Jett Wolf, Gavin, Gatlyn and Grayson Wolf. Arlene leaves behind one sibling, Betty Sackman, and also many nephews and nieces. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Margaret; step-father, Joseph Scherr; brother, Earl Harrington; and grandsons, Ryan Wolf and Jarett Wolf.
