Ferol was born on his Grandparent Bonsness' farm south of Columbus, ND on December 3, 1924. He was the oldest child of Fern and Ervin Brenno. He started working at a very young age after his father Ervin's passing. Ferol was married to Myrtle Nordtvedt on September 21, 1951. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this past year leaving many happy, loving memories of love for each other and family. Out of that love they had three children. Ferol started working as a farm hand, later joined the Traux Coal Mine and retired his work efforts at Baukol Noonan. Ferol was a hard worker and would come home from long hours to then farm and tend to his cattle and horses. After he retired he did not sit still, he continued and loved to help his neighbors and friends with farming. He was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus, ND, and held many positions while serving his faith. He belonged to the Lion's Club, and was a loyal Whist and Pinochle card player. He enjoyed raising horses as a hobby, watching State High School Basketball tournaments, the Minnesota Twins, eating a hot breakfast and Lefse, finishing puzzles, playing a "competitive, yet friendly" game of Pinochle or Whist, and making sure that his Good-Bye always included a "LOVE YOU ALL!" Ferol is survived by his loving wife, Myrtle, Mandan, ND; daughter, Karen (Brian) Haldorson, Lone Tree, CO; brother, Kam (Gloria) Brenno, Columbus, ND; sister, Marlene Kress, Great Falls, MT; son-in-law, Gary (Kim) Bless, Bismarck, ND; five grandchildren, Eric (Kelsey) Bless, Bismarck, ND, Kristin (Ryan) Tobias, Bismarck, ND, Marisa, Austin, and Brooke Haldorson, Lone Tree, CO; four great-grandchildren (who even on his last days would put a smile on his face) Payton, Emersen, and Brooklynn Bless, Susan 'Suzy' Tobias; many special nieces and nephews; and many great friends from Columbus, ND, and Edgewood Vista Mandan, ND.
