Melissa Anne Pedigo, 39, Bismarck, died March 3, 2017.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Church of the Ascension, 1825 S 3rd St., Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 7, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.
Melissa was born June 11, 1977, in Kotzebue, AK, the daughter of Bobby and Karen (Renner) Pedigo. She spent the first 13 years of her life in Kotzebue, Bettles, Fairbanks, and Eagle River, Alaska. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1995, where she enjoyed many friends, music, was a member of the art club and participated behind the scenes in the Sleepy Hollow Theatre. She went on to graduate from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and later earned a certificate for medical coding.
Melissa was a very sensitive, talented and creative person who loved her family, friends, animals, nature, and anything relating to the ocean. She was known for her elaborate greeting card art.
Melissa is survived by her significant other, Cameron Keller; her parents, Bobby and Karen Pedigo; her sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Joe Dale Pittman; her nieces, Karly Pittman and Dalyn Harper; her nephew, Dale Pittman; five great-nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; her kitty, Nutmeg; and her three chinchillas, Gunther, Gretchen and Blueberry.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Sam and Janice Pedigo; her aunt, Becky Renner; and her cousin, Ivan Kary.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
