Randy was born November 2, 1952, in Bismarck, ND, to William and Marion Sawicki. He was raised and educated in Wilton and in 1974 he graduated from the University of Mary. Randy married Nancy Hedstrom on June 30, 1973, at St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Wilton. For the past 38 years, they have made their home on a farm north of Wilton. During that time he farmed and raised cattle. Although Randy had retired from actively farming, he still loved helping any way he could with planting and harvesting.
Randy was a very kind, giving, and loving man. Those who knew him knew he had a Big personality and an even Bigger heart.
The farm doors were always open to his many friends. He entertained them with his great stories and funny jokes. Fall was his favorite time of year because of harvest and hunting. Many will miss their Randy Sawicki farm hunting experience where you always left smiling but Never hungry or thirsty.
We love you dad and you will be forever missed. You truly are one of a kind!
Those left to cherish his memories and continue his legacy are his wife of 43 years, Nancy; son, Dustin (Jerrica) Sawicki; daughter, Amber (David) Erbes; his grandsons who were his pride and joy, four young men, Jack, Brooks, Oliver and Briggs; his mother, Marion Sawicki; two brothers, Terry and Gary Sawicki; and one sister, Marianne Setka.
