Stanley "Stan" Patterson

September 10, 1964 — March 18, 2017

Stanley “Stan” Patterson, 52, was taken from us due to health complications at Sanford Health on March 18, 2017, surrounded by his loving family and very dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, March 23, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Allen Wagner officiating. Cremation has taken place. Stan was born September 10, 1964, to Alfred and Eldora Patterson. He was raised in Bismarck and could spend hours telling fond memories of growing up here. He attended Wachter Elementary and Middle School, Bismarck High School, and later went on to receive an associate’s degree in hotel restaurant management from Bismarck State College. Stan made a career out of cooking and spent 35 years doing so. The Little Cottage being his last venture. Throughout his career he made some very good friends. Stan had a real love for his family and enjoyed gathering with them for any occasion. Stanley is survived by his son, Ryan Patterson (Jackie Praus), sisters, Nancy (Kent) Danielson, and Diane Lapp, brothers, Harlan (Deb) Patterson, Alan (Shirley) Patterson, John Patterson, and Edmund Patterson, all from the Bismarck/Mandan area; and by many loved family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Eldora Patterson; and brother-in-law, Dale Lapp.
