David Polsfuss, 62, Bismarck, died March 18, 2017, at CHI St. Alexius Health, with his loving wife by his side. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church in Bismarck with Rev. Jon Splichal Larson officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church. David was born on June 26, 1954, to Eugene and Phyllis Polsfuss in Minneapolis, MN. He had a successful 40-year career at Interstate Powers Systems where he began working part-time at the age of 17. His customers could always rest assured if Dave was involved, the job would be done, and often beyond expectations. If there was a part that was needed, but hadn’t yet been made, he would develop it. Dave did everything big, he loved hard, and he worked hard. The love of his family enveloped his heart and was his greatest passion of all. Dave was a master of many skills. He was a talented woodworker, taking great joy in making furniture for his children, grandchildren, and many others. Dave’s green thumb showed in his garden sanctuary. There are endless colors and types of flowers throughout their conservatory, and in the center of it all is the waterfall they created together. In his later years, he found great passion in his volunteer work. What he gave of himself volunteering, the work and the people gave back to him tenfold. Dave is survived by his wife of 44 years, Renee; his daughters, Nicole Burfield and Kelly (Jon) Volkmann; his grandchildren, Natalie, Cory, Grace, Ava, and Samuell; his great-grandchild, Mason; his mother, Phyllis; his sister, Diane (Chuck) Mead; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene.
