Brian Patrick Hodde, 55, of Bismarck, ND, passed away on May 11, 2017. A graveside memorial service will be held at Boca Raton Cemetery in Florida. Brian was the youngest of the six Hodde boys raised in Boca Raton, FL, an avid Florida Gators fan, and had a passion for traveling abroad. He was a 1980 graduate of Boca Raton High School and graduated in 1984 with a major in horticulture from the University of Florida. Brian started his working career as a teenager at the Boca Raton Hotel doing golf course maintenance, which included the art of collecting lost golf balls. He eventually moved to Bismarck, ND, and into to work managing buildings for the US General Services Administration (GSA). He is survived by four siblings, Janet Hodde-Vargas (Luis) of Corrales, NM, Richard Hodde (Debbie) of Charlotte NC, Mike Hodde (Betsy) of Delray Beach, FL, and Susan Dancy (Robert) of Taylors, SC, and nine nieces and nephews. Brian was preceded in his death by his parents, Henry Busch Hodde, Sr. and Patricia Kessler Hodde, and his brothers, Henry "Hank" Busch Hodde, Jr. (Nancy) of Jensen Beach, FL, Tom Hodde of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and John Hodde of Boca Raton, FL. Brian will be remembered by his simplicity in life, appreciation for Thailand culture, mumbled dialect, sense of humor, and ability to laugh at his jokes.
